Does your roof qualify for Roof Maxx?

Five things decide whether Roof Maxx is worth it on your roof. You can check most of them from the ground.

The checklist

Your roof is likely a candidate if:

  • It's asphalt shingle. Roof Maxx is made for asphalt shingles, not metal, tile or flat roofs.
  • The shingles are about 5 to 25 years old, Roof Maxx's own range.
  • They're unbroken and in good condition: no missing tabs, no widespread cracking.
  • There's no active leak, or you're willing to have it repaired first.
  • The roof deck feels solid. Soft spots point to a bigger problem.

Signs it's too late for treatment

Curling or cracking across most of the roof, many missing shingles, or water getting into the attic usually mean the roof needs repair or replacement. Roof Maxx's 5-year flexibility warranty doesn't cover leaks, granule loss or structural problems, which tells you what it is and isn't for.

How we check

On a free inspection we look at the shingles up close, check flashing, vents and valleys, and photograph what we find. You get a straight answer: treat it, repair it first, or plan for a new roof.
